Meet: Robey Mashoed

We are pleased to introduce our RLVNT team. Robey Mashoed is our Customer Succes Manager. He leads the ad operations team and develops customer-focused activities and campaigns. We asked him a few questions to find out more about him and his role at RLVNT.

Can you tell us briefly about your new role and the responsibilities?

As a Customer Success Manager, I am responsible for our clients and campaigns from start to finish. This includes handling briefings, contributing to- and presenting media strategies, and managing our back office, which executes the campaigns.

Can you tell us a bit about your career journey and what led you to become a CD?

About nine years ago, I started my career in media at what was then Sanoma. After working there for five years in various roles, with my last position as a Programmatic Media Specialist, I decided it was time to move to the agency side to broaden my media expertise. In my current role, this combined experience proves to be highly valuable.

What attracted you to join RLVNT? What excites you most about this role?

There is a high level of expertise within CANDID, and therefore RLVNT. That attracted me.

Where did you grow up, and what was your first job?

I was born and raised in Alkmaar, where I still live. My first part-time job was in the kitchen of the local hospital. During my studies, I already knew I wanted to pursue a career in media. I then got a part-time job at Sanoma, specifically at Startpagina, supporting Search. After that, I started working there as a Commercial Product Manager.

What is the mission of RLVNT?

RLVNT’s mission is to help marketers create a lasting impact with successful campaigns in the dynamic world of digital media and advertising.

How would you explain to your grandmother what RLVNT does?

To put it simply: I work in the advertising industry with major brands like… When you see an ad on the big platforms, we make it happen.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Any hobbies or passions?

Aside from the usual things like having beers, wine, and parties with friends, I’m an avid board game enthusiast! At home, I have a shelf full of games, from true classics to the latest releases.

Are there any books, podcasts, or shows you’re currently into?

I love reading everything from The School of Life. We can all learn from a bit of self-development!

What’s one piece of advice that you’ve found most valuable throughout your career?

Not direct advice from a (former) colleague or someone I know, but a simple quote from my favorite actor, Denzel Washington: “Fall forward.” In other words, fail forward.

We all need to make mistakes to learn and improve. No friction, no shine!
